Checking on PR Card
 

anyone can tell me where do I check on the progress of my PR card renewal
They received the paperwork, confirmed from UPS tracking
I thought there was a place which said how many days, and also the status of your own PR card application

2. If nothing there, the posted processing time for renewals is 66 days.

I tried it, can't find anything, I guess they having started to process it, 66 days, yup
I was just kinda hoping that I could confirm the received it and it's in somones bin to do LOL
I'll keep checking there

Hey paz, tbh, I never even bothered checking, next week is when 66 days are up I thought no news is good news and I'll log in then
last time I did a PR card it was like 130 and something odd days

Got it, I was wondering if I had done my application incorrect or something, was a little worrying (expires in Nov 2021). Thank you for the update though! :)

NP,
yeah what I would just like is a quick notification, "we received your application" that's all I need to know,
mind you I did it recorded and have a copy it was recieved
that website I think does not show anything, until it hits processing, nada zip, at the time it was 66 days,
I think I did that last time, only after it hit processing were you able to see any info.
as I'm not going anywhere not a problem, also I still have my UK passport, so if any issues
I can always reach out for an emergency approval

PR card is just to let you back into the country, ain't no-one can stop me from leaving ;)

You could also try checking eCAS https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do
For either of the links given for checking the status, be careful when you fill out the dropdown form, you must put down the place of birth as the Country - i.e. England / Ireland / Wales / Scotland etc., not UK/British subject or it won't find it.

Is this the same for applying for our first PR, or just renewals? Or does anyone know how I can get an accurate timescale on that?
We submitted our PR in February, and I don't even know how to tell if they have received it, started processing, how long processing might take. There are a lot of blurry lines with terminology I can't get my head around :confused:

You submitted your application for permanent residency, or application for PR card? Two different applications/processes.

I just checked mine, shows 97 days, it was 66 days, today it showed 97
and the checked could not find mine yet
