Default Changing to new married name during spousal process

We submitted our spousal application shortly after getting married..

The PR application and all my supporting documents are in my pre married surname.. I put my new married name in the 'any other names you use' box.

I have now decided I will take my husbands surname and would like to start changing it on my drivers licence, bank account etc.

My passport being my main concern.. I'm assuming it's ok to send that off to get the name changed now before I get the passport request?

Go ahead. There will be no problem even if the PR visa is issued in your maiden name.
