Default Change work visa to visitor visa

Hi,

I am canadian and will be applying inland to sponsor my Scottish girlfriend in April 05 as that will be when we will have been living together "continuously" for 12 months. She is on a working holiday visa which expires in April (at the same time we are to apply), she will then keep living with me and not work while the application is in process.

We are heading to Scotland to visit her family in March (about a month before we apply). My questions are will they just let her back into Canada with no questions after seeing she has only a month left on her work visa. And...will we have to apply for an extension of some sort to transfer her visa to a visitor visa. Is there any reason why they would not grant her this if we are forthcoming about our application to be submitted. How far in advance should we be applying.....2 months?

Thanks again for all the valuable info on this board.

When you return tell them she is your commonlaw spouse and that you intend to sponsor her for PR under the Inland Spouse category..
