Default Cayman Islands for two years will affect Canadian PR Application

Hi There,

Does anyone know whether if I move to the Cayman Islands for a couple of years whether this will affect my Canadian PR Application which is currently under review. I received my AOR which stated that my application will be dealt with in 36 to 42 months.

Thanks,
Tracy

No, but eventually you will need a police certificate from there when your application reaches the IA stage.

I guess it depends on what activities you engaged in while you were there

Thanks both for your replies but I hvae been informed that I couldn't got to the Caymen islands because I have dependents and in my field of work you wouldn't be likely to get a work permit. Looks like I am going to have to stay put until we eventually receive our PR for Canada.
