Have followed this thread for a long time but never bothered to register, but thought it was worth posting so that others have an idea of the latest processing times.

I applied in Canadian Experience class for myself only so pretty straight forward application and have worked here on a visa since 2008. Just got my request for PR fee and passport today, online status thing says still processing but it has never updated.

My timeline for what its worth:

Initially sent application in October 2011, stupidly with a personal cheque, it got returned and I resent it in January 2012.

Acknowledgement of receipt was April 16 2012

Request for Police Certificate and Meds on May 2 2012

Police Certificate sent end May/early June 2012

Meds done June 21, sent to IC June 27 2012

Instructions for Visa Issuance received today August 3, 2012

Well hopefully we should hear very soon then as our medicals were done about a week before yours...

I'm not sure it's medical dates that drive the process if none of the other items are complete, for example.

We got our GCMS notes from early July and they say our medicals are done but a number of check are outstanding.

Has anyone else had their GCMS notes from CPP or anyone with inside information who knows the process who can help with when these checks will start and how long they take?!

Is your ECAS App Received? Usually when they review your eligiblity they then put your ECAS IN PROCESS. The latest comment made by VO, should provide more insight in your case!

You are the first I've seen to mention GCMS. Never heard of it before. Where do you get these from? We have had confirmation our file is complete. My understanding is that we have to wait for outcome of medicals and then they should be asking for our passports - or copies anyway - as we have paid our RPRF which is the final thing they needed apparently. We're really hoping we're nearly there, our son is wanting to go to uni in sept!!!

well, according to my Ecas, things seem to move fast, at least the updates on it, so....something is moving on the other end.


AOR : 3rd May with Meds attached

Ecas Access: 7th may and shows "Application for PR received 28th Oct 2011"

Meds Done: 8th May

Ecas shows: 23rd May Started Processing

Ecas shows: 7th June "Current Mailing Address" shows up

Ecas shows: 28th June Meds received shows up

Ecas shows: 26th July "Current Home address" shows up

2-3 weeks in between updates. My case is a reasonably big one, 5 PCC's....several employers....mainly Europe.. I did the RCMP Clearance without being asked to avoid delays, they received it mid may. also, I ordered CAIPS just because i'm curious what they are doing... should arrive by the end of next week.

No it's not - a colleague who applied on the same day does say it however, but I'm assuming it's an ECAS thing because his says medicals received and mine does not, yet Ottawa say they have been received and passed.

Because it's a PNP (QSW) rather than FSW, is eligibility not finalised after security checks etc?

Has anybody got the email address for ottawa?? Apparently unbeknownst to us our file has been transferred to ottawa but we have had no notification via email,also is anybody in the same boat as us?? Our application was received in buffalo 7th july 2010 and we havnt even had med requests yet?..

Yeah i heard buffalos closed but we never received an email so dont know how to contact ottawa regards our file etc...if its possible,we r concerned because our app has been in so long and we havnt had med requests yet and we wantd to try find out whats happening xx thanks xx
