Default Canadian PR or US Green card

Hello

If I'm working overseas for a non-US or Canadian based company, which one is harder to maintain,Canadian PR or US Green Card?

If possible to maintain one of them, would someone let me know how please?

Thank you

Wrong place to be asking this. Many people on here have waiting years to get Canadian PR.

Pick the country you want to live in and apply there, but only if you have the intention of moving and living there permanently.

Dear Rob

I already have US green card and I recently had my passports stamped from Buffalo because I was planning to move to Canada.
However,I have a good job opportunity in the Gulf area and I was trying to see which Permanent Residency is easier to maintain.
I'm planning to still come back every year and file my tax return here

No simple comparison, sorry.

Filing tax return won't help you maintain either PR. You are obviously not interested in making Canada or US your home (with all benefits and obligations coming with it) - you are simply a migrant worker looking for greener pasture. Get PR in the Gulf area and enjoy.

Dear Andrew

Thank you for your answer, but I have no idea why you are being pre-judgemental.
Do you think I should do a loyalty test?

My job overseas is temporary. It might be two years or so until I come back to the US.

By the way,I think I pay taxes more than many people you know,so I'm not one of those who take advanatge of the system if that's what you have in mind.

Have a good night

ok - so you want to come back to the US. Well in that case what are you doing on the Canadian forum? Get onto the US forum and find a way to keep Green card.

I couldn't care less if you pay tax to the US government or not.
