Can anybody tell me where I can obtain subscriptions to Canadian newspapers to be
delivered to the UK. I want to research jobs, communities, housing and lifestyle in
various Canadian cities prior to deciding where I would like to settle. I'm sure many
others must have this requirement.
If there isn't one already there should be an online one-stop shop for global
publications. <--- cue for yet another dot.com start-up.
thanks, Steve

Here are two links that will get you started:
http://www.cna-acj.ca/newspapers/ http://www.vancouversun.com
You should find most of what you're looking for online. Overseas subscription rates for
newspapers are quite expensive!

Why don't you try and access the newspapers online? Definitely cheaper than subscribing to
them. They have pretty good search engines, as well as job banks. Some of them will even
send you jobs and headlines (to your email account) that match your profile.
For the Toronto area, there are three major newspapers: The Toronto Star thestar.com Globe
and Mail http://www.GlobeAndMail.CA/ National Post http://www.nationalpost.com/
For jobs, try www.Monster.ca

post your Toronto area questions, queries and comments at www.classicity.com

Don't forget that there are also some major job-sites on-line (as a fellow brit who has
just received PR papers, these sites have been invaluable)
Try:
www.monster.ca
www.careerclickbc.com
Also, depending on your field of work, there are quite a few industry-specific sites
that you may well want to surf. Try accessing a few through the "local" search engines
such as...
www.yahoo.ca
Cheers.

You Can subscribe to Toronto Star.com....... Why not make it your Home page. It has some
cool links to everything you need to know about Canada and jobs from workopolis. I will
rate it the Best.
