Can anyone advise me of the best procedure for my application for PR under the Common Law Partner route ? My situation is unusual ( I think ).
I have been living in Canada with my partner for almost a year - with a renewed 6 month visitor permission in my passport. We plan to apply for my PR via her sponsorship as a Common Law partner.
Her application to be my sponsor will obviously be IN Canada but should my application for PR be IN Canada ( as I am actually living here now ) or OUT of Canada - via London, as the UK is still officially my country of residence ?
I am retired, in receipt of a pension and so not looking for permission to work here.
Any comments gratefully accepted.

Hi
Out of Canada probably much quicker, 1st stage approval "in Canada " 6-7 months, then there is the local processing. Out of Canada, 24 days Mississauga, 3-9 months London. Only hitch is if there is an interview, it will be in London.

Thanks for your helpful comments.
Am I right in understanding that even if I make an OUT of Canada application to London ( UK ) I still post it to Missuagua for initial processing ?
