Can you apply for concurrent work permit processing with a PNP application?

Hi,

Sorry, I have another question...

It isn't clear to me whether I can apply to London for concurrent processing of a temporary work permit at the same time as a BC PNP application? This page (http://www.cic.gc.ca/EnGLIsh/work/processing.asp) only seems to mention concurrent processing with LMO applications, which because of the PNP I'm not applying for.

I want to do it concurrently because the company want me to start asap (and so do I).

Also, I have seen some people on here saying they know they will need a medical for their work permit (and hence applied for concurrent processing) - but how do you find that out? I haven't been able to find anything that says.

Thank you again - I'm looking forward to getting the PNP and work permit apps sent so I can have a breather for a bit lol!

Just after I posted I found something about the medicals actually here : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/informa...p#occupational

The part for temporary workers staying for more than 6 months says:

Greater than six months:

A medical examination is required if an applicant has resided or sojourned for six or more consecutive months in a designated country/territory in the one year immediately preceding the date of seeking entry to Canada or an applicant is to work in an occupation in which protection of public health is essential (see point below). Please see the Designated Country/Territory List to determine if a country/territory is designated. A country/territory is designated if there is a “YES” in the column entitled “Designated” in the Designated Country/Territory List.

A medical examination is required if an applicant is to work in an occupation in which protection of public health is essential. Please see Occupational Basis for Medical Examination of Temporary Foreign Workers for more information.

We applied for and got work permits whilst waiting for PNP/PR and we didn't need medicals for them.
