Can I open a business?
Hello,
I'm a US citizen in Ontario. We own a house in the Ontario countryside. I
really love it here and have filed for PR. I'm a 43 y.o. female, BA and JD,
have 10+ yrs. experience, native English speaker. I have consulted an
immigration lawyer who has told me that I should have no problems being
granted PR status.
My questions:
I have the opportunity to purchase a small commercial building ( one
upstairs 3 bedroom apartment and a downstairs retail space). I would like to
purchase the building and open a retail store below. My bank has agreed to
finance 50% of the building. I will pay cash for the other 50%. Can I
accomplish this? How do I go about obtaining a work permit to do this in a
reasonable amount of time? What forms and where do I apply?
