Calling Former Lancastrian. Border restriction inquiry.
The daughter of a friend is working in the US on a short kind of visa and wants to come to Canada as a visitor for a couple of weeks before returning directly to the UK.
not sure why she’s looking on the US embassy site but she’s now totally confused about whether she can come to Canada or not.
she’s very confused and worried she’ll be turned away.
But is there any reason a Brit could be turned away from Canada because of her stay in the US?

If her status in the US is fine, then I don't know why she's worrying, although obviously entry is never guaranteed for visitors and she'll have to meet whatever requirements are in place re: Covid requirements for entry.

I hope she intends on flying as she won't be able to drive across as the land border ban extended until 21 October 2021.

After all that excitement she panicked and decided to go directly back to the UK.
