calculation for number of years of work experience
Hello,
The criteria for FSW PR applications says "Federal Skilled Worker applicants must have at least one year of continuous full-time or equivalent paid work experience in the past 10 years".
"Consinuous full-time work experience" does makes sense but what is meant by "equivalent paid work experience" and how do you calculate this?

One would assume 52 weeks of paid work experience within the past 10 years, but not continuous. You'd need references and/or payslips to prove it.

OK. thanks. and what if someone is working for a company under a specific title for the past e.g. six years. but under that single title, he is performing two roles. one of them is on the list of 38 occupations and the other is not. how is he going to calculate the amount of years for his experience for the role which is on the list of 38 occupations. can he claim the maximum points for experience because his overall experience is four years plus. or should he claim the points for only two or three years because he was not performing that specific role on 100% basis.
also, will he be eligible to apply for a PR in the above scenario? because his reference letters will explain both the roles under a single job title, but only one of these two roles is on the list of 38 occupations.

Hi
No, what they mean if you worked at a qualifying job part time, you require 1950 continuous hours to meet the 1 year equivalent.
