Okay, so it's of little use getting CAIPS notes before the IA, but does it at least tell you your bring forward date, even if ordered before this? CHC told us not to contact them for 12 months in our AOR and mentioned nothing about an IA. Finally contacted CHC Colombo after 17 months passed - they emailed back to say that "your file is under the officer's review and we will contact you if we need further documents" (I presume another way off saying buzz off - sounds so generic). Any use getting caips notes now, even just for the bring forward date?

Hi
Pointless, the BF is just an "aide memoire" nothing will happen on that date. What is there for is that when a document/information arrives for a file, the file is supposed to be given to the officer, or it is a best guess when a request should have arrived. So the BF is just in case something arrived for the file and the file was not given to the officer. It is sort of like wearing a belt and suspenders.
