Default CAIPS Application

Hi , I'm Canadian Resident currently sponsoring my wife
and I want to apply for the CAIPS notes but one of the documents required
is a copy after Canadian Passport which I don't have.
Can I use a copy after the Permanent resident Card to prove my Canadian
residence ?

Please reply.

PR Card doesn't prove that you reside in Canada at all. Passport doesn't
prove it either. And you can only apply for CAIPS printout if you are
present in Canada.

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for your reply but I don't think you got it right,
I need to prove that I'm either Citizen Or Resident of Canada in order to
get the CAIPS.
My question is that I saw among requirements , copy of Canadian Passport,
That's a
good proof that the applicant is a Canadian Citizen, how can I prove I'm a
resident in
order to get the CAIPS ?!!!

I am present in Canada , full time employed and so on....

What requirements? Where did you see such?

We are using a standard form (same for years) and all I need to do is to
check proper box and sign the declaration - no need to provide any proof.

I have no idea what they want from you as I can't even get to their website.
But I can get to www.caips.ca and they don't ask for any documents.

All of those are private companies that have nothing to do with Canadian
government.

You may find official government forms on:

No, it's www.caipsnotes.com, not .ca.
