Hi, I'm a green card holder here in the US. Do you think its possible to buy a house
in canada? What are the requirements? Anybody has experience on this? Im interested
in the Toronto area.

You can buy it but you cannot stay in it unless you get a "Landed Immigrant" status,
iow, be accepted as an immigrant in Canada.

As a Green Card holder, you would be able to stay in house in Canada, as long it was
less than 180 days a year - to stay longer could cause the loss of your Green Card as
well as violating Canadian Immigration Law. Take Care. Shelley

You can buy anything you want in Canada as long as you have the money for
it. Do not expect to get a mortgage and expect to pay non resident land transfer tax
in Ontario.
