Default Buffalo: Initial Assessment completed, but Additional Documents required

Hello everybody,

I'm not quite sure what this means. I'm asked to provide "Updated
Certified True Copies of letters of reference detailing your present
and previous work experience...".
A bit of background:
I had sent the original letter of reference with the PR
application. My employer changed the company name and I had an
extended work permit showing the new company/employer's name, after I
had sent my PR application. I then updated my PR file at Buffalo with
the notarized copies of the extended work permit and letter of
company/employer name change.
So, could this be why they want see updated letter of reference?
And why certified true copies? Just curious...

Thanks for your advice.
