Default Borders open on Dec 25th?

HI,
Are the Buffalo US-Canada borders open on Dec 25th for landing purposes?

Are there 2 separate bridges to Canada, the Queenston Livingston and Rainbow?

Thanks,

Yes and Yes, but it will be slow, with minimal staffing.

I don't think there is a day when borders are closed, unless it's an emergency. Under normal circumstances, busy borders like niagara bridges and airports always have customs and immigration officers there. Correct me if I'm wrong

Thumbs up Re: Borders open on Dec 25th?

To the best of my knowledge there are 4 bridge in Niagara by which one can go to Canada.
The Peace Bridge, the Rainbow Bridge, Queenston-Lewiston Bridge or Whirlpool Bridge (Whirlpool Bridge into Canada is restricted to CanPass holders only.) . A nominal fee of $2.50 USD is charged to cross the bridge. Before traveling, check with your auto insurance carrier to be certain you are properly covered for travel within a foreign country.
I crossed the border thru the peace bridge which is real cool and friendly. According to my research Rainbow bridge is not a very friendly one to cross altough I do not have a personal experience
