Border Agent Made Error on Work Permit
Hi All
Looking for some advice. A border agent made an error filling out my partners work permit the other day, it was a renewal.
They omitted her middle names and as a result service Canada can't/won't update her SIN number as it's not an exact match to her passport.
The agent also added an extra digit to a section of the permit and just corrected it with Pen. We are also waiting to see if her MSP can be updated with the error.
Is there any quick way to get this resolved? The service Canada employee seemed to think it could be sorted at Vancouver Airport?
We've spoken to CIC and they've indicated it will take a month to sort by filling out imm1436.
She works freelance and we can't really afford her to be out of work and potentially without MSP for a month.
Any advice would be appreciated.
