Biometrics - says not required
Hello all,
My husband and I have submitted our permit applications, one study, one SOWP. We paid all fees listed, including biometrics fees.
Our application status says processing, but next to biometrics it states 'we do not need your fingerprints, we will let you know if they are required'. Does anyone know why this might be? I thought we would receive a biometric instruction letter after paying the fees. We did enter Canada in 2013 but did not apply for a visa at the time as we are from a visa exempt country. I cannot for the life of me remember if they took our bios on our way in. I was also using a different passport back then that has since been replaced. Could our fingerprints somehow be on file?
Would you suggest we raise a ticket enquiry?
As always, any help would be great!

If you need biometrics you'll be sent a Biometrics Instruction Letter. The line you're referring to in the status always says that whether or not biometrics are eventually requested.
