Would a child under 22 who was married and therefore not a dependent become a dependent again on divorce?

It does seem odd that in these circumstances she is deemed "a dependant".

Similarly, IRCC have a very clear definition of what they mean by 'common law spouse' which may or may not accord with 'common accepted usage'. |

from https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration...-children.html regards to civil status, a dependant who is single, divorced or widowed, whose marriage has been annulled or who is no longer in a common-law relationship at the time of the initial receipt of the application is considered to meet the definition of a dependent child and must continue to meet the definition of a dependent child for the duration of processing. |
