3 weeks after phone call from CHC, we received a letter asking for us to redo our medicals (which had run out), obtain new police certs and update background info form (easily done as no changes since last time). We only received med forms for self, OH and daughter so had to check about son. We had no reply to our first email so sent another one a week later and they confirmed that they did not require him to do another medical or chest X-ray.

Medicals were done on 30 Oct and we are now waiting for the new police certs to come back to us.

It would be nice to get PPR before Christmas but hey! we're used to waiting!
So pleased your hard work in providing all the supporting evidence has paid off. Well done you and karma sent in recognition!

We are just waiting and waiting for ppr ourselves now. Were told in response to my email......late December/early Jan

Just thought we would update also, we have had our medicals done now and have received a request for updated police checks - as ours had run out, we are told that we do not need to land before our son's medical runs out as he is technically inadmissable - even though they are allowing him in, so now we wait - we have 45 days to get our police checks back so will update as an when.

They haven't asked us for updated police checks.....I hope they just send ppr cos our medicals run out in April and we wanted to land in Feb to allow some extra time for contingencies such as volcanos erupting!

That is brilliant news; I can't believe how long it's taken but at least things came good in the end. You've really brightened up my dreary day in Bristol.

Top Tip: Make sure your photos are taken against a really white background. You don't want to go through the hassle we've just had and have to get them done again.

All the best for the future; let us know when you land

Thanks!

debbiem - we're heading back to Ottawa, hopefully later this year - I'm keen to land sooner rather than later, maybe May half-term.
