You need to have at least 12 months of full time (or full time equivalent), continuous, paid work experience in one or more occupations listed in NOC matrix in skills level 0, A or B.

You obviously don't have yet required work experience.

If you are working 20hrs/week, then it is part time, isn't it? (I think you have 6 months). What kind of RA do you have? Do you get paid for working on your research only? If so, then I don't think you can use it as a work experience. However, if you work in any other place at the University where you perform any activity listed in NOC table, then I think you could use it as a experience.

RA or TA gets counted , however at half time (20 hrs per week)

NOC code for RA/TS/Post Doc is 4122
