Applying for PR, employer told me he might have to lay me off

I'm applying for immigration through the provincial nominee program, I just got my nomination approval letter and I'm prepping my documents to send off to CIC and my boss bought me into the office to tell me that he might have to let me go.

I have less than 6 months left on my open visa.

Do you lose your Provincial nomination if you loose the job?

Because with the nomination I come up with 1042 on my express entry CRS score 442 without it which would put me on the low end of the express entry pool.

What are my options?

And thank you guys for being supportive through this difficult time.

Sorry to hear this. You may lose your nomination but it will depend on the stream you applied under and the province you're in - can you give us more info?

Re: Applying for PR, employer told me he might have to lay me off

Thank you, I hate the job and I'm feeling more than a little used (the job started out as covering maternity leave but he spent months assuring me that it would be a full time permanent job and he'd support me through the immigration but low and behold the woman I was covering for comes back and now he's talking about layoffs).

But in answer to your question, I'm in Saskatchewan but I don't understand what you mean by stream, I'm applying as a provincial nominee as a worker with Saskatchewan Work Experience, existing work permit.

Any advice you can give me means so much, even if its not good news at least I know where I stand.

Right now it seems like leaving the job and saving for express entry seems like the best option I have available.
