Default applying for PR but quitting job?

hello!

after searching for a long while i cant seem to find a thread on this particular situation im in.. so here goes;

ive been here for a 1 year and three months next week, absolutely love my life here, my friends and home and landscape are incredible. however, my job is grinding me down so much to a point where im thinking about leaving.

ive been fortunate enough to be put on an LMO for 3 years, i arrived on a IEC one year and after a few months got switched over.

my question(s);

im currently applying for PR, just waiting to do my CELPIP test and then i can send it off, will me leaving my job affect my application?

in an ideal world id love to leave for a year (working somewhere else, perhaps new Zealand) and then come back when my PR kicks in and get a new job. does anybody know anyone who has pulled this off without complications.

do i need to keep a canadian address whilst applying? or should i apply from a outside address?

hope my wording make sense! and thankyou in advance for your help

Well in that case then yes you are not tied to your employer. If you are confident you meet the CEC requirements, then...

Best of luck!

No, CEC can be applied for even if the applicant is living outside Canada. The only requirement is a year's skilled work experience in Canada in the previous 3 years, so you can apply anytime within the 2 years after leaving Canada.

HTH.

thats great thanks so much christmasoompa!

i have most of my forms done, just the celpip test to do then i can send for processing.
i guess i will send it from a uk address, incase i receive any questions/changes? i thought about using a friends canadian address, but its not permanent.
im just worried if they look at my LMO and see that ive left the country for a year that it will impact their decision on my PR.

I really don't know why you think that will impact their decision.

There are plenty of forum members that have applied for CEC from the UK after returning from Canada, it's not an issue and again, there's no requirement at all that you are working or living in Canada when you apply.
