I would presume you use a UK bank and ask for the draft to be in CAD$ ??
I'm sure someone in the know will be along soon

Our regular HSBC branch in the UK did ours. They had to send off for it, took a few days.

Yep, just go to your usual UK bank and ask for a draft in CDN.

Or, pay by credit card which also has the advantage of you knowing when it's been charged.

Christmas....I couldn't pay by credit card - I did try many times, paying the fees were without doubt a great and non necessary adventure. I certainly couldn't pay by card from France, can you from the UK?

Ah, but you're a spousal sponsorship case, so therefore don't have the nice easy option of a credit card payment form to complete and submit with the rest of your application like all the other PR routes.
