Hi everyone
I don't know whether you have read this alarming thread on the time frame to PR after medicals.
It states that no Passport requests will be made before Dec 2010 or Jan 2011! How could this be?

I think your signature's wrong. It says you got your AOR the day after your full submission!
It'd be great if things were really that fast

Rubberduckofdeath, actually my signature is correct. The office received our application on 29/3/2010 according to Fedex and our AOR is dated 30/3/2010.
At least that part of the process went swiftly for us...

With the new process it seems there is definitely a back log. That said the new process is still much quicker than the old one.
Our process has taken 13 months from application to med request. It is frustrating when you read about others processed from end to end in 8 months... but in reality i guess i always knew it would slow down and i would just have to be patient.
med request does mean you are in, providing everything checks out medically. So for us this is a huge step, its now more a bit more certain... we know its not a signed sealed situation still, but a lot better odds than without the med request! I feel a lot better waiting now!
Best of luck to everyone

Hello Everyone,
Just wanted to share our good news - we received our medical requests last week Thursday! Needless to say we had a big bottle of sparkling wine that evening! Our medicals are booked for the 24th September.
They've also asked for the RPR Fee, British Police Clearance Certificates and proof of funds - so the race is on as we want to hand those in at the High Commission on the day that we do our medicals.
For those of you that are still waiting for your medical requests
that they come through soon.
