Haven't been on for a while but just to say hello from (very hot and sunny) Toronto-where we landed officially last week! It was a surprisingly straightforward process-we were ushered off into the Immigration section after showing our passports and PR info-the officer spoke to us for less than 5minutes-didn't ask to see anything other than our paperwork; for example, he asked how much money we would have with us and we told him verbally and that was fine. We were then ushered off into another section with our goods to follow forms (definately bring those as well as goods accompanying even if you're only landing and returning to UK, they were hot on this), and then we were throug....all a bit of an anti-climax really after all the waiting but of course a fantastic moment as well.
Back to pouding pavements job-hunting, neighbourhood exploring and generally getting to know this soon-to-be-new-home...Good luck to everyone else, I hope things begin to speed up again soon

Hi All - I know there are a handful of us that have received AOR from London in January or February 2010, I think we're all waiting for status to change from 'Received by Visa Office' and no doubt checking ECAS on a daily basis!
This thread is to track our progress, I'll start with my timeline:
FSW1 (NOC 0111) CIO app sent to CIO 01/10/09
Received Nova Scotia 07/10/09
120 day letter received 23/12/09
Full app sent to London 20/01/10
AOR received (and new file number) 29/01/10
I know there's the other 'CIO' thread started by Martin but I think has got a bit busy and it's difficult to keep track of the useful posts.
Can we please try to keep on topic and only update with relevant information.

Nearly 4 mths on now since in process and still no meds requests. I'm going slightly mental!!!. The 'not knowing' is so frustrating i just want to sell up and go!.
The guys who's applications have taken 3,4,5 yrs must have the patience of a saint!.
Sorry i just felt like a bit of a rant as i know i'm not alone on this one.

Guess we'll have to get police checks re done as well, I think these are only valid 6 months?? More expense....

Meds request & Right of Permanent Residence Fee and a request for a little more info on our relative living in Canada.
Arrived in post just now (Brown Envelope)!!!.
Get IN!. So chuffed thing seem to be moving again.
