It is very random, we thought we'd be a more complicated case as we've a mixture of a serious criminal conviction (my husbands big faux pas during studenthood, although it was over 10 years ago) and he wasn't born in the UK so we expected big delays.

Pinched this from another thread:

Re: Still "pending review"
During summer the visa office will be experiencing staff change over, holidays, and priority that must be given to temporary residence and student visas. So, unfortunately, PR application processing slows considerably.

Does this mean that FSW2 are being prioritized?

Sorry I have no idea, it was posted by Jim Humphries in another thread.

Cheers.

The process doesn't seem to have slowed down for us. We now have our passport request and they have been sent off. Our application was for FSW.

My timeline is identical to yours and still no meds requests. Makes me think it's not going to plan and there's a problem with our application.

Nightmare as i've got a job waiting for me (no LMO) as soon as i can get there, just can't get there!!

Think we have decided on Bowmanville/Newcastle area of Ontario. We have friends in the area, not too big, real community feel and still within commuting distance of Toronto where we think OH is prob more likely to get a job.

Head is swimming with all the things we need to do now... but first things first, get those passports in the post before CHC change their minds!! Think I'm still in a state of shock!

Really hope things start moving along quickly for all of you
