Just wanted to thank everyone for all the helpful input so far, we had our medicals yesterday and were we'd only hear from DMP if there was a problem. I thought the medical would feel much more thorough, but apart from chest x-ray it all seemed a bit straightforward and brief really-not really sure the point of the eye tests but hey-ho, another step forward and fingers crossed yet again for smooth sailing.....

Hope all's progressing well for everyone here

just got my med request! The OH had a medical a few months ago for his TWP but we thought he may have to do another one for PR but they only sent a med request for me so I'm assuming they are just keeping his TWP one for both.

I'm actually surprised the TWP and PR departments actually talk to each other.

Hi all,

We just received our medical request today and the original documents we send with our application. The letter is dated the 18/05/10 so that 14 days after processing started. One step closer, exciting and scary.
We were thinking of having our medical in Thornton heath, south london.
Does anybody have any experience of using them?

Thank you.
Loetitia

Congratulations!!

Is there a time frame for when you need to have them done by?..

Did it include a list of places to have them done or not really? (people have had varying comments on this)

Thanks

Hi Stoptheclocks,

Thank you.We have 60 days to do our medical. They didn't give us any list of doctors to go to.
Your medical request should be with you very soon as our time line are similar.
Good luck.

Got our medical requests today - sooo excited!!

Our letter also says 60 days to complete. We are going out for another recce for 3 weeks from the middle of next month so will have to get moving on the medicals... pity we didn't book our trip for August, we might have been landing!

Good luck to all those still waiting, wont be long now

Yeah, beginning to get nervous now alright.
Am considering sending an email, anything to just jog their memory.
We have a buyer for our house and are afraid to accept in case something goes wrong! This is the pits!
I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up looking at all the others going through and thinking "oooh our turn next!"

I'd try not to email as it'll only slow the process down and I bet you'll get the standard letter...

We sold the house last year and now in rented, it's nice to know I'm pretty much good to go (assuming we don't get turned down), just need a $2 exchange rate and I'll be laughing!

Good luck anyway, hopefully we'll be soon.
