Thanks Zhanna, Our consultant is in Canada so i was justing thinking of the delays in post, as our medical will go to Canada first and then back to the UK.

That makes sense - if a bunch of medicals was sent at the same time, yours would still be in the post.

Hi bongobrad,

Our consultant is in Canada too so we've lost a bit of time because of that. The CIC letter was dated October 3rd and we didn't find out until October 10th. So we're having to pay the extra to get the police certificates in two days. Hopefully he'll let you know by email so you can start the ball rolling.

We used a consultant in Victoria, BC. Our medical requests came direct to us by post in Portugal, as did the request for updated forms, PCC's & RPRF.
Our consultant has updated the forms and emailed them to us. As far as I can see there are no real delays there, over a UK based applicant that didn't use a consultant.

Could be that we are based in Europe and CIC London don't see the sense in sending the paperwork to Canada when they know it will have to be sent back to Europe anyway. Or maybe I'm dreaming in that there is logic in their approach?

It would be great if cic gave medical request with in the 6 months of the hold letter (i hope).
Does anyone have a AOR of september,seem to be a break from end of august till start of march.Just thinking how long it will take for us to get med request,have a AOR of march.
