Default AOR Date

Hi,

Can anyone please confirm what exactly would be our AOR date? We applied in Oct 2006 and received the acknowledgement in January 2007. However the date stamped on our acknowledgement & receipt for funds paid was November 2006??

So what is it ...... Nov 2006 or Jan 2007? Please advise.

Your best bet is that it is November 2006. That should be your cohort.

Hi, we are exactly the same as you, applied in Oct 06, AOR letter received in Dec 06 but stamped in Nov 06, so I say Nov 06 as well.

Wonder when we will hear something?

Karen

Hello,

Nice tread. we are on the same time line.

Just one questions. I'm with a consultant so they must have kept my letter. is it normal or does it depend with the conusltant ?

Thanks

Stefke

Thanks for the replies.

I think we can hopefully expect the 90-day letter early 2009. Gotta say these last 2 years have gone pretty quick for us

The continuing problem here is that visa offices are resourced for the level of immigration they target and not for the number of applications received. For years there has been an excess of applications that could not be dealt with in an efficient or prompt way and thus the ever expanding case back log. The CIC was slow to adapt their policies and stuck with a difficult inflexibility in physical facilities and personnel limits.
