Anyone else frustrated waiting for PR?
 

Our PR application was sent Nov 2019, CIC recorded it as received Mar 2020 and actually someone started working on it in Sep 2020! Since then we've had one request for some info but that's all. I've never had a response to a request for info and even the MP just got told they were 'still working on background checks'. There's only two us, we have no criminal history, no dependents and no medical needs yet we're still waiting. We all know the issues around the crisis' they have to deal with but come on, 3yrs and no progress.

As we are now on our 3rd work permit we've decided that we won't be applying for another. We refuse the expense and the hassle. If it runs out before PR comes through we're going back as quite frankly we've had enough.

We were originally going through AIPP but because WES were being difficult we got moved over to PNP. Our PNP PR application has been in process since Mar 2020

I heard a report this week that applications received since the start of covid are being processed much quicker as these are likely people who are not yet in Canada. No need to rush on the ones who are already paying tax here.

That report’s not correct, there’s no priority given to those outside of Canada. There is however, priority given to certain PNP routes. So exactly which stream did you apply under?
