Default Any UK Police applying for PR?

Wondering if there are any current UK serving Police Officers applying for Permanent Residence. Looking for anyone who is or has been fast tracked, and any details re immigration contacts, and timescales. Applied for PR Jan 06.

Two Police colleagues given PR in 2004 and 2005 who were processed within 6 months without any job offers (can't apply to a police force without PR)

Thanks
Stef

Hi Stef,
I suggest you ask on the UK Police to Canada Yahoo group.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ukpolice2canada/

It is not all that active but it should get you in touch with people who have made it. We have one policeman that we helped with the move who is now working with the Vancouver police force. He and his wife, a nurse, were fast tracked through the BC PNP. They wrote up their story for our newsletter which might help too.

Good luck with your move.

Warmly,

Frank

Thanks for the links. My husband is not keen on joining Police in Canada. The colleagues used their Policing as a skills level then chose to do other jobs. They got their PRs without having any job offer.
Regards

Hi Stef,
Oh. I didn't realise that. From what I understand from our client, now friend, the Vancouver police really value UK experience and if your husband wants to work in Vancouver then he would be best to contact the force directly - same goes for other police forces too.

Warmly,

Frank
