Default Any other ways in?

Hi

I know about TWP's and AEO and how to go about getting either of these.

Is there any other way into Calgary that I don't know about? Their PNP is closed.

Is there no way around having to have an AEO before applying for permanent residency? We have over 70 points between us (at last check) but husbands job not on the NOC list.

We are not in a position to go in self employed or entrepreneurial route at this point. At absolute desperation point he could ask his current company if he could set up on his own over there and they could be his biggest client (bit risky in my book)

Is there any other way in that is "do-able" in our position?

Thanks

x

If there were easier ways in the country would be overwhelmed with immigrants. Some people think it already is.

All I can think of is just visit Canada and network and maybe you'll find someone willing to do a TWP for you. It's the most open route outside of PNP.

I assume you don't qualify for the IEC programme which gives you a year open work permit?

Hi Canada Jimmy

Thanks - I suspected as much but did just want to double check....

No we don't qualify for IEC. Too old and too experienced!

Thanks.

I know this has been said before BUT; go to where the work is. This way you can gain Canadian experience, get into the country, and apply for PR asap. Who knows, you may even like it

After PR comes through, move to Calgary if not there already.

Thanks... I know what you are saying and if it comes to it we are going to have to consider that. My big issue with that is moving my son around. Like I say we are early in the process and aren't giving up yet but what you have said is floating around in the whole thought process....

Decisions, decisions, decisions. I need a drink!
