Default Am I too old to immigrate?

Hi
I am 52 and from the UK, my wife is 37 and our children 14 and 9 and we would like to live in Canada.

I scored 78 on the points assessment but I am wondering if my age would be a reason for the CIC to refuse us PR visas outright.

We have lived abroad before (15 years in South Africa) so know what its like to live and work in another country. We loved it and would not have returned to the UK but for the rising crime rates.

Also, what would the chances of getting a job be like at 52 in Canada? I am very flexible and wouldn't expect to walk into a position similar to my own straight away. We would be able to buy a house in Canada mortgage free so would only need to earn enough for living costs.

Any opinions, advice etc would be welcome. Thanks
