Default After landing

Hi
Just a quick question, I was reading something that said because I am married to a canadian in the uk, this counts towards keeping my PR status in canada. I land in early november and plan to move mid 2012. Is this correct?. The thing I was reading did say that this did not count towards citizenship. If so Do I need to inform someone?.

I hope this makes sense

Maintains PR status, does not count to citizenship and you self declare when applying for citizenship. Good idea to keep a record of comings and goings. Each night spent in Canada contributes to citizenship requirement.

Absolutely right Aviator; I applied before we left the UK and was also asked to provide proof that we'd lived together whilst living outside Canada. This is actually not as easy as it sounds as they don't tell you what this proof consists of....so keep such things as utility and council tax bills with both names on them; joint bank statements, enevlopes from letters addressed to both of you etc.
Good luck
