Default advice on moving all family members plus friend of family

Hi
We are a family of four Hubby Crane Driver, son is a banksman/coordinator to crane company also a qualified plumber and daughter adminstration assistant.
Myself being mum unfortunately do not have a trade currently work in shop as assistant nothing great but its a job. We love to come to live in Canada and Vancouver is where we are thinking of heading for a new life.
How is Vancouver for job opporortunies in these skills.
My other question is a friend of the family also wants to leave the country and he is a qualified scaffolder with many years experience and wonder how hard its gonna be for him to come out at the same time as us.
I presume we as a family of four will come out under my husbands visa
son is 20 and daughter 18. The other lad is 22 but not related but dreams of starting a life in a new country . Would he be able to live with us if he got out there.

Is there a link to find out how many points we need to come out and what is the first thing we should do to start the process. We hope to come out to visit the area and look at houses etc and line up interviews. Any recommendations for good construction companies around the vancouver area.
Also one large dog to bring out any idea of time scale and cost . Im sorry to bombard you with loads of questions just like things clear in my mind before we set the ball rolling. many many thanks. linda

I suggested a plan of action in post #7 of this thread.

Also, I'm going to send you a private message. You'll see the notification of its receipt pop up in the top right hand corner of the BE screen, and you'll also get an e-mail telling you that you have a PM.

I'm sure you already know this but just in case, the underlined words in posts are hotlinks, which take you to the information you need.
