Default advice on application

Hi all,

WE have spoke to a migration company about moving to Canada, they say we qualify for a Federal Trade Skilled Visa under the new Express entry route.

This is based on the following.
Age:- 44
Qualifacation :- Diploma/City&Guilds
Work experience 6 Years+ in the trade(Bricklayer)
IELTS test with a minimum score of 6.0 in each module
Adaptability:- spouse language test
Red Seal skill Assessment complete

ok so what i would like to know is the IELTS score is manageable (6.0)
Red seal skill test (been told i need to travel to Canada to take this has anyone else had to do this)

Thank You in advance

First of all, be very careful what migration companies tell you. They can be very quick to say you qualify and take your money. They are also not licensed to give advice.

Go to CIC's website yourself and check you have enough points to qualify under FTS on EE. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigra...ho-express.asp

You will then need to see how many points you will have as part of your EE profile (CRS). At present you will need between 450-480 to be in with a chance of being selected. Again you can check the points on CIC's website. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

If you don't have enough points you may need to find a job to raise your points high enough to be selected.

As Engineer Abroad has already suggested, I would do your own calculation before paying out for an Immigration Consultant. I have no idea how "in demand" Bricklayers are in Canada, but taking age and qualifications into account, I suspect you would likely need a secure job offer with a LMIA approved to get your points up to the number required to be accepted for PR. Christmasoompa might be able to be more specific on this as she has a lot of knowledge of the requirements. Good luck though.
