Default Advice after medical for TWP

Hi everyone.
I've been following this forum quietly in the background for the last year whilst I have been planning my move to Canada.
I am now in the final stages of my move to the Edmonton area.
I applied for a TWP online on the 2nd of November and was quickly invited to go for a medical.
I will be working as a GP in Canada and the medical went fine as expected.
The results were sent to CIC on the second of December but confusingly 11 days later when I check 'my CIC' it continues to say that my action is required and that my medical information is required.
I emailed CIC to find out whether they had properly received my medical info but so far they have not replied.
I was hoping that other people who have been through this process could let me know whether it is normal for the tracking summary to appear not to have updated following the medical being sent or should I try phoning one of their call centres to chase things up.
Many thanks for any advice.

Hi, and welcome to BE.

I wouldn't worry about it at all, Ecas is notoriously reliable and we have various people on the forum who were still 'in process' years after getting citizenship!

Medicals can add a few months to the TWP processing time, although recently they do seem to have sped up. But honestly don't worry at all yet.

Best of luck.

Many thanks Christmasoompa.
You're reassurance is much appreciated.
I will attempt to relax and let things take their natural course - which is not easy when waiting for a work permit I can tell you.
