Default Advice on 2 year olds photo for CIC forms

Hi guys, just wanted your take though I'm 99.9% sure it'll be ok. We had our 2 year old son's immigration photo taken today. We had it done at snappy snaps and it took a few attempts to get a half decent one because he's a toddler and won't sit still surprise surprise! Anyway, we eventually got one that didn't have his arms in the shot, just his head and shoulders facing forwards but he is smiling and not looking directly at the camera. If the photo was for a passport I know it would be fine as they are quite relaxed about photos for children under 5 years old but just wondered if we should worry that this may not acceptable for CIC? TIA for any replies

I know they are quite particular and can't remember where I read this but I think they recommend that you do go to a photography studio/shop that specialises in visa application photographs, we do have one local to us, so I think when we get our toddlers done will probably take no chances and get it done there!

Hiya, thanks for your reply. We took our son to Snappy Snaps where they take the photograph for you. I know alot of BE folk have used them and they definitely knew what we wanted because when I phoned ahead to find out if they could get the photo done to the specifications by CIC they asked if it was for Canadian immigration He's usually so good at posing but today he just kept looking around and giggling a lot. Very cute but frustrating at the same time. Aaah, the worst that could happen would be they send the forms back and we have to have his photo done again I suppose.
