Default Adaptability point question

My cousin has just got immigration visa. She will fly for CANADA in november. I also want to apply for immigration visa. Can I claim for adaptability point as my cousin will be there at the time of my application lodging. Seniors plz help me. Its very importent.

That is correct at present, but under the proposed new regulations, if they come into force in their present form you will obtain 5 points if, "the skilled worker or the skilled worker’s accompanying spouse or accompanying common-law partner is related by blood, marriage, common-law partnership or adoption to a person who is 18 years or older as of the date of application who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident living in Canada" - to me this would include a cousin who is a permanent resident living in Canada since you are related by blood.
