ACRO - inadmissible?
 

Hi,

So i send off for a subject access ACRO report to get all documentation in place in case i get an IEC invitation.

I have 2 offenses on my report as follows:

1)

Offense Date: 20/11/03.
Offence Description: ASSAULT OCCASIONING ACTUAL BODILY HARM
Adjudication: Warning.

2)

Offense Date: 18/10/09
Offence Description: BEING DRUNK AND DISORDERLY
Adjudication: NON - CONVICTION

Offense 1 was a stupid school fight.
Offense 2 was falling asleep on a night out and then being woken up by police and dragged into their van. I may have swore during the process! Must have been a quiet night..

Anyway, i know there is no excuse for breaking the law and i've long learned my lesson!

What are the chances of any of the above causing inadmissibility? Non of the above stopped me visiting the states and we all know how strict they can be.

Any advice is much appreciated.

I would say they won't render you in admissible based on what you have posted.

The offences must be declared on any application where the question asks any arrests, charges or convictions or committed any offences.

If you were under 18 on the first one, then it wouldn't count anyway and the second one won't make you inadmissible.

A friend of ours has a mother who's criminal record is quite long, including several things that definitely make her criminally inadmissible to Canada and are not too old to matter.

She comes here every summer for about 6 weeks :eek:

... historically, maybe she just didn't get asked at the border about a criminal past, but now how does she get an eTA?

Good question....I'm guessing there is an absence of truth involved somewhere in the process :blink:

One of their friends is also one of those motorcyclists who wears those bits of funny 'full' embroidery on their jackets and he got as far as passport control at the end of last year...but no further...and doesn't get to come back :rofl:
