Default ACIC Consultants any good?

Hi,

I have had a free initial assessment from ACIC and they state that I have a good chance of obtaining a Permanent Residents Visa. Has anyone on this board had any dealings with these consultants? Do they have a good reputation?

Looking forward to your replies.

What is ACIC? Is it the same ACIC that deals with Australian immigration? I would strongly suggest using authorized immigration practitioner based in Canada and who is dealing exclusively with Canadian immigration.

Under current law only consultants who are members of CSIC can be hired and represent you. CSIS rules are not allowing us to work in any other than Canadian immigration field, thus if we are talking about the same ACIC then they either already broke CSIC rules or their consultant(s) are not authorized members of CSIC.

Note that you may only be represented, advised and consulted directly by the authorized immigration practitioner - not by firm and not by anyone (or any firm) that claims being associated in any way with authorized immigration practitioner.

See the rules here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/departm...paid-reps.html

and check if consultant is authorized here:

It is Avatar Canada and the consultants name is Russell Monsurate, he is registered and listed at the link you gave.

Thanks for the info.
