I heard most social workers are alcaholics because of the stress they are under, and the cliental they are forced to work with.

Or maybe that's just Glasgow social workers, in which case it's hard to spot them

Hey Guys,

So now its just the waiting game to see if we get to the next stage and if we made it into the cap so we have everything crossed its succesful

Fletch and I have a few weeks between us, so we're in a mini race to PR, lol.

Wouldn't you love to be a fly-on-the-wall in that office in Nova Scotia!

I'm still cautiously optimistic that you've made the cap. Maybe they open the application packs, have a quick peek at the NOC, and if it's reached it's cap then they chuck it on the "sorry to inform you" pile, and proceed until they find one they can cash a cheque from? who knows, but that might explain why they took your money so quickly

I don't see the point of the online "check my application status" thing. We got a letter from Canada two months ago but the website just says "we received you application on 25th November". That's all, lol.

The waiting about is very frustration. There's so many things I want to organise, but until we get a definite answer, we can't do it. I've pretty much put my life here on hold. I sold my crazy car projects, I tend not to get too envolved with friends and their future plans etc.

But hey, everyone has to go through this, so we just need to suck it up eh?

Hey guys,

Just a quick update!
I have just checked my emails to today and our email from the centralized intake office has a arrived with a positive final determination

we are chuffed and again its been quick so hopefully everything is starting to move along alot quicker now for applications

Now this will probably be the hardest part when our application is gone through with a fine tooth comb so we are hoping we haven't missed anything out or made any mistakes

Good luck all
