Re: The 2011 FSW timeline club
We applied under fsw 21st nov 2011, money was taken off credit card 15th january and then we got email 1st feb to say that they weren't processing it any further as we didn't meet the criteria! We will receive our money back within 8-12wks.
Went to emigrate show in glasgow 2wks after with our forms and spoke to visa specialist and they said he could resubmit our forms but it would cost £2250.
Our nxt plan of action is to go to a jobs expo in manchester at the end of the month or for me to go over and look for a job as my brother lives in waterloo ontario and see what happens.

Welcome to the forum
Tough break... Did CIC give you any step for a hint as to what criteria you didn't meet or do you already know? I don't see how paying a specialist can make you meet criteria unless you already do and you just didn't submit all the details properly?

Hope you don't mind barging in on this thread...
I'm getting increasingly worried and frustrated about our FSW 2 application. We applied in March 2011, got PER in April 2011 and there's been absolutely *no* progress since. Well, apart from the fact that ECAS keeps showing an address we have never used (contacted London about it, they couldn't explain it either but on their system the address is still correct). We've been "received by Visa Office" for nearly a year now and I am beginning to lose hope. I just don't understand the delay!
Mr B has a permanent job here (a job he's been working in since we arrived on our TWP in 2008), we've built a life here, and our application seems very straightforward. (Just the two of us, no kids, no police record, more than enough points even *without* the job offer etc etc). We have already used up nearly 4 years of our 5 year allowance on TWP and there seems to be *no* movement whatsoever by London. Yet, reading this thread, many FSW 1 people are sailing passed us! (And I don't begrudge anyone their new life in Canada, of course, it's just...well....worrying ) Is there anyone in the same boat?

yes, still breathing.. just about
i applied for social worker noc.
whats even more bizarre is today i recieved another email from cic customer service to advise me that once my language test doc (sent on 26.11.11) is returned it is done so by normalpost service so no tracking number for me to ask the service how they may have lost it.
i have emailed customer service back explaining their colleague has found my documents in their office and all is now sorted. it would appear on occasion the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing!!!

I'm wondering if they have put you down the priority list because you are already over there and paying your taxes anyway, so no rush to give you another visa that does the same job, kinda.
The whole system kind of sucks with regards to keeping it's customers informed :-( Even if they sent a wee message saying "your application is currently 2055 in the big pile" type thing would be better than "in process" for a year.
