Re: 2007 queue - where are we up to?
Congrats!....I received the exact same response word-for-word a fortnight ago. Don't hold your breath or anything...you'd be better off prodding them at regular intervals. My initial AOR letter went missing in 2007(twice...i received the 3rd one they dispatched), then the Confirmation to continue request in 2008 and finally the Document Request-P150 in Nov 2009 which they re-sent by e-mail.
How did I receive the communication that reached me?...by emailing them case specific enquiries now and then.

So back to waiting! At least it was a very nice, standard reply!
CP, have you found somewhere to live yet?

Re: 2007 queue - where are we up to?
Hi
I'm a newcomer and would love to know where 2007 queue is up to!!!!
We applied Oct 2007, not heard a bean since, changed our address with them and sent a email asking for status enquiry recently and got the 42-48 month timescale reply.
Anyone of around that time heard anything yet?
Would love to hear we're nearing getting something to start ball rolling.
Ta Paula

We are considering the study visa option which can get us there by Jan 2011 apparently, but a few concerns there, so may still have to just wait wait wait!!!!!

Re: 2007 queue - where are we up to?
He said he would process those waiting the longest, have a look on cic website it's on there, there is even an email link to post a comment to the minister, of course I have already done that and received an automatic response, nothing else yet.
Perhaps everyone waiting from the old system should email and comment then he may notice us ?
Off to look at another house today, Essex so fingers crossed we don't have to ditch the dogs to wood green ( animal shelter ) and put our 9 year old up for fostering just so we can get a rental home ?
Still prefer sevenoaks ( if anyone has a nice place near a station that they want to rent out let me know asap )
