2 photos when we hand in passports?

2 photos when we hand in passports?
Hi guys,
A number of people have said we need 2 photos when we hand in our passports after PPR (in addition to the 4 we sent with our initial application).
Does anyone know are these the same dimensions as the photos we sent with our initial application? They were a slightly funny size (not quite the same as UK passport size) so our photographer friend got them the right size for us.
Also any idea if these have to be taken within the last few months or will the same picture we used in August 2010 suffice (i.e. 9 months old)?

The picture sizes change all the time it seems. It shows that the APP B was modified on the 14th of February 2011 http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/E37023.pdf so I would check your photo sizes.
