Well you can't really blame them I suppose, and not many of us can say that they wouldn't do the same in that situation.

Plus he's 18 anyway, how many normal 'relationships' work out for 18 year olds at all? never mind international ones.

No, it doesn't. As I said in my post above, if she's just a girlfriend, then he's fine to apply to Bunac.

It's only those with Canadian common-law partners (or spouse or fiancee) that are ineligible for Bunac, so if they haven't lived together for a year or more then it's no problem.

I think MR79 may be saying that they're relying on a technicality a bit, which I suppose they are in a way.

That was not clear at all. If you want to respond to somebody else's post, then please use the quote function, rather than just copy and pasting them. Then that way, we can all see who you are responding to, and what you are saying.
