10.07.2009 FINALLY LANDED IN BC
After a long few months wait we finally landed in Vancouver, BC last Friday
We have our temporary accomodation in West Ave which is the quieter area of Vancouver.
It's not all plain sailing as we have a terrible experience in UK on our way out. The taxi driver who took us to the airport was a reckless one and we thought that we won't get to the airport alive as we have 2 near collision during our journey. When we reached manchester airport more problems with Thomas cook airlines. We didn't know that maximum hand carry is only 5kgs and each check in luggages not more than 30kgs. We have tried to maximise our personal items but end up been throwing it to the bin as it would no longer fit in on our smaller luggages and the our flight was delayed for nearly an hour I think.
Weekend we just gone some shopping for some basic stuff and try to familiarise the transport system.
Anyway we have finally made it and it has been wonderful so far.
We have almost done everything today: got our SIN, meet our employers and open a bank account and finally got an internet access which was very important
I knew there are more posts to come

Got our Canada cell phone today and gone to see my hospital manager and she has shown me around the unit where I'm going to work.
People seem warm and as expected a big UK contingency
