Cool Why Canada not Australia

Hi, all,

I am thinking of migrate to either Australia or Canada these days. I am a China citizen, but PR of Singapore. I think Canada is pretty cold. May I know why you chose Canada instead of Australia?

Oppreciate your opinion. Thanks!

Sure. Closer to the States. Closer to Europe. Not an island. Northern hemisphere :-) Good luck.

I think its a very difficult question. Its just like asking why u like blue color , why not green. Some of my friends went to Australia and they are quite happy there. Its true u feel like being isolated from rest of the world but still u will get access to far east asian markets and if u r skilled person with good experience under your belt, you are going to have same kind of fun as you would in EU, US or Canada. I applied for Canadian Immigration 9 months ago bcaz I am based in US and it will be easy for me to drive up in the north to my destination in Canada. I wont have to throw away my stuff and Canadian/American culture is pretty much the same and I will be able to find many contacts in Canada through my american friends.

Canada is easy access to the US, and the salary is higher than Australia.
It's cool to live here that's why we get all the cold than the rest of the world. No desert here but snow. You can only see green and blue in BC.

It is called the "Great White North".

Australia PR is harder to get. Canada is easier but far slower process.

But I feel Oz points defination is quite clear and fixed. How did you know you will definitly get work expr points for Canada? Oz required skill assessment from authorized organization. So if you passed the assessment, you will know you can get the points? But how does Canada assessed? Based on you support documents or DECIDED by officer upon interview???

Pls advise.

THanks for all your feedback!

If I choose Canada, I must go Vancouver as I don't like cold.

One more question for you all, is parents easy to move in Vancouver if I am a PR?
